The island’s spectacular nature has left its specific imprint, endowing it with a unique tree species: the Vardim oak. This species grows exclusively on the island of Vardim (which is why it bears the name of the island). There are numerous representatives of the species with trunks reaching 5-6 metres in diameter.
Thanks to the systematic care provided by the keepers, the island offers a huge diversity of game species. Trophy and selection hunting of red deer, hinds and prickets, trophy hunting of roe deer, and wild boar are all possible. Year-round individual hunting of wild boar and carnivores (jackals and foxes) is standard. Group waterfowl hunting by boat along the Danube is also a trademark.
On this hunting island, in the fall of 2020, a lucky guest of ours had the opportunity to acquire an exceptional trophy red deer with an antler weight of 15.52 kg, rated at 264.48 CIC points.
The trophy was appraised personally by the World Hunting Association Commission at the hunting exhibition held on 25.09.2021 in Budapest. We are proud to announce that this is the highest appraisal of a red deer trophy since 1989.
